Hotel Europa is the place to be in Siusi/Seis near Sciliar/Schlern, located in a charming little village at an altitude of 1,004 meters above sea level. The imposing Sciliar/Schlern mountain range is host to many old tales and legends, and an immensely powerful place.
The history of Siusi/Seis is influenced by the legendary poet and troubadour Oswald von Wolkenstein, as well as by the mountaineer Johann Santner, who even had a peak named after him. The village is embedded in a unique natural landscape provided by the Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Alm resort, Europe's highest alp.
It is a truly unique place renowned for its spectacular views of Val d'Isarco/Eisacktal. The village itself is also well worth seeing. Just above the village center you can find the Hauenstein castle ruins, made famous by Oswald von Wolkenstein, and the stunning Salegg ruins. There are also a number of beautiful small churches such as St. Valentine's chapel or the Holy Mary church just next to Hotel Europa.
Many hiking trails start right at the hotel and lead into the nearby Sciliar/Schlern nature park. The Sciliar/Schlern nature park is known to be the oldest nature park in South Tyrol, with the highest number of different animal species.
