An old curative therapy
is the latest sensation
|
Traditionally the
patient sweats in
freshly-mown
hay straight from the
Alpine pastures,
and the grass could be
cut from June until
September.
Using modern methods
health-enthusiasts can
enjoy the treatment all
year round: the dry hay
is soaked for an hour in
warm water and spread
into a bath-like tub.
The patient lays on top,
is covered in hay and
then lowered onto a
waterbed heated to 42
degrees centigrade. Both
the traditional and
modern methods alleviate
rheumatic and muscle
pains in addition to
stimulating the mind.
